Welcome to the November installment of my blogger of the month series. Each month I will be recognizing and featuring someone who I believe to be a true talent in the beauty blogging world by displaying their work for you guys to see. I have included a interview as well as a gallery of their best work for the feature. And as a special treat, I commissioned an exclusive look for the monthly 'Pigments & Palettes Challenge'. The next blogger I've decided to feature is:

Marla contacted me when I very first started this feature and asked if she could be one of my Bloggers of the Month. Well, I'm certainly glad she did because it was the first time that I got a chance to look at her work and I was so impressed. Marla has a unique style and amazing abilities with eyeliner. Her blog has a variety of posts to read so there's always something new to look at. I especially love her Barbie inspired series that shes doing. Read on to get to know Marla better!
So, this past weekend I was invited to a bird themed birthday party, a Birdday Party if you will. While I was obviously excited for the treats and dancing and friends, I was equally excited because it meant LOTS OF BIRD MAKEUP! I ended up doing four looks that night over the course of a few hours and it ranged from basic to totally over the top. I just had to share with you guys, so enjoy! I apologize that the pictures aren't better quality...

The first look I did was for the birdday girl herself, Sara. She was going as an owl so she requested a brown & gold dark smokey look to emulate the coloring of an owl. We also painted the tip of her nose yellow as her beak and she completed the look with an amazing homemade costume.

Bone structure like WOAH
My good buddy Zaz decided to go as a red bird and she wanted a red & gold look so I stuck with something fairly simple in the interest of time. A winged out look was just the thing.

Finally, my proudest creation, Paula the Peacock. I've been hounding her to let me do this for the longest time and she finally let me. I think it turned out awesome and would be an incredible concept for a Halloween costume next year!

I decided to go as the twitter bird but I didn't manage to get any decent close up shots so a group picture will have to do. Happy Birdday, y'all!
