Every month I feature a blogger whose work I truly admire and respect. Each month I have included an interview as well as a gallery of some of their best work. And, as a special treat, I have commissioned an exclusive look for the monthly 'Pigments & Palettes Challenge'. This month is ...
I've been following Alexa on MakeupBee for quite a while now and I love that she always does pretty, colorful looks. She definitely has a signature style that I really admire. Have a look at some of them below, but first you should marvel at her super cool Pigments & Palettes challenge look!
What do you like the most and the least about being a beauty blogger?
The thing I like most about it is that I can share my work with
everyone and inspire people...the downside to it is that it’s really hard to
build audience and sometimes that makes me sad.
What are the three most important things for people to know about you?
Ha ha :)) Wouldn’t they like to know? Joking. The first thing people
should know is that I’m a very sensitive person especially when it comes to
animals but regardless of that I laugh a lot. Second thing is that I’m very
ambitious even if sometimes I tend to slack off..:)) And the third thing and
the one most people bug me with is that I don’t go out wearing artistic or
landscape make-up...I take photos then wipe it off :)) Seriously now!
What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Hmm....I’d have to say that most of my followers don’t actually know
that I cook...and I love it! I inherited this trait from my dad who is a pastry
chef and sometimes I just like to play some music, and invent all sorts of
goodies to eat
Describe your beauty philosophy in a six word sentence.
“Use makeup to impress yourself, not others” :)) more than 6 words
What is your favorite brand of makeup & why?
Definitely Lime Crime! I love how much dedication they put into
their products, they’re super pigmented and versatile and unique I might add.
They’re no.1 for me! And I love unicorns :))
If you could design a makeup look for anyone in the world, who would it be?
Tough one .... but honestly ... I'd love to do Charlize Theron's makeup. I adore her.
What are some of your favorite blogs to read or be inspired by?
I don’t read blogs much, I mostly look at the makeup designs :D But
the ones I find inspiring are grzee.blogspot.com, jangsara.blogspot.com,
glittergirlc.com, roseshock.blogspot.com and of course pigmentsandpalettes :D
But there are also other makeup artists that I admire.
What was the first look you ever posted and what do you think of it now?
Ha! The very first look I did was a silver and purple one...I don’t even know if I have a photo of it but I remember it enough to LMAO if you know what I mean!
What’s the one look you like the most or are the most proud of and why?
The look I like most is the “Across the sea” look which was actually
my second attempt at painting landscapes on my eyes using makeup. :D
Thanks to Alexandra for the awesome look & interview. I hope you'll check out her blog, MakeupBee & Facebook Fan Page
