Today's post is Sweet Lilac: a soft, romantic pink inspired by spring flowers

Pantone really said it best with this one. I totally agree, Sweet Lilac is definitely a color for hopeless romantics, which makes it perfect for spring time and spring flings. This feminine, flirtatious pink is the perfect color for girly girls every where. Inspired by the flower of the same name, Sweet Lilac has a soothing effect that many people associate with calm feelings and relaxation. Make it fun and funky by teaming it up with Solar Power yellows and Tangerine Tango Oranges. Or you can play it cute and quaint by pairing this delicate pink with some beautiful Bellflower purple accents. Lots of suggestions in the post so keep reading after the cut!

Welcome, welcome! Have you missed me as much as I've missed you all!? It's been a whole two days!! I really just couldn't wait to share the next look in my Spring into Color series with you guys. Do you wanna know why? Because it's purple, pretty purple perfection. Pantone has named this shade Bellflower, and just like it's namesake this color is dainty yet beautiful. This is definitely the kind of color I think of when I imagine spring. Read on to see more ways to wear this lovely lavendar shade!

The third installment of my spring/summer color series is one I think everyone's going to like. Blue, beautiful blue. Sodalite Blue to be precise. If you are like me you're probably thinking ... Ahhh, yesssss. Good ol' sodalite ... wait. Wtf IS Sodalite?? Well, despite the misleading name, it's not a diet carbonated beverage, it's this. Take it away, Wikipedia:
"Sodalite is a rich royal blue mineral widely enjoyed as an ornamental gemstone. Although massive sodalite samples are opaque, crystals are usually transparent to translucent. Sodalite is a member of the sodalite group with hauyne, nosean, lazurite and tugtupite." - Thanks, wikipedia!
This is not to be confused with the following image, which is a picture of my eye. Anyways, for less information on rocks and minerals, and more information on how you can get this beautiful gemstone inspired look, read on to see the rest of the post!
